Home Remedies that I Always Keep in My Cupboard

These are the top ten home remedies that I always keep in stock at my house.

1. Vitamin D

Vitamin D can be obtained through the sun but we don't get enough sun most days, especially in the winter. Vitamin D is very important in preventing the flu and colds. I used it last winter and did not get sick at all. It also is very important in preventing colon cancer.

2. Colloidal Silver

Colloidal silver is a great natural antibiotic. I use it as first aid on cuts. I have found it very helpful in clearing eye infections. I also use it as a preventative measure. I noticed that when my kids spent a lot of time around animals they would get sick. So I began to give them colloidal silver and they stopped getting sick after being around animals.

I use SilverBiotics.

3. Magnesium

Magnesium is a calming, relaxing mineral. Everyone in my family takes magnesium for some reason or another. My mom and sisters take it to prevent constipation. My uncle takes it to keep his headaches away. Other people I know take it to help them sleep better. I take it for all of these reasons.

4. Raw Acai Powder

My husband was getting headaches constantly until I started mixing this in smoothies and syrup for him. Raw Acai is loaded with antioxidants. These antioxidants eliminate free radicals associated with stress, environment and poor diet. Everyone needs antioxidants and I have found this acai powder from Bright Earth to be a great source.

5. Essential Oils

I love essential oils. I use them everyday. Peppermint for aches, lavender for burns, lemon for cleaning and orange because it smells so good. My family has been using essential oils for 15 years for just about every ailment out there.

My favorite oils are from doTERRA.

6. Vitamin B's

Vitman B supplements are awesome for energy. They should be taken in the morning especially B-12's. I find that they also help improve mood and help regulate my daughter's sleep. She sleeps longer and better when she in taking them. Amazon and Dr. Mercola have some great liquid B supplements.

7. Digestive Enzymes

My daughters and I have to have enzymes to digest dairy. We don't drink milk but we love cheese and butter. My girls struggle with eczema and taking enzymes really help. I use a product called Kidzyme.

My favorite enzyme for me comes from Nutranomics.com. It is called Total Systemic Enzyme. All of the products from this company are amazing. They are food based and contain no synthetics like most supplements.

8. Probiotics

Probiotics are essential for a healthy gut and immune system. They are the good bacteria that get wiped out with antibiotics. Many people are susceptible to candida overgrowth which can cause a myriad of problems. Taking a probiotic regularly can help prevent many health issues. My favorite brand in FiveLac from Global Health Trax.

9. Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal has been used for healing for hundreds of years. It absorbs toxins very effectively. I like to use it for stomach issues. It can help a baby with colic or an adult with ulcers. It eases bloating and gas.

I was trying to detox a parasite and was getting very sick from the die off. I started taking activated charcoal and was able to go to the full dose of the herbal parasite detox and felt fine. I also noticed that my skin improved because the charcoal was absorbing the toxins that were previously coming out of my skin.

10. Oregon Grape

Oregon grape is a natural antibiotic. I have found it very effective in treating infections. I had several bouts of mastitis with one of my babies and was able to clear the mastitis without antibiotics.

Your top ten may be different than mine but I have found all of these products to be invaluable.
